PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize the accuracy enhancement and efficiency improvement of fracture factor estimation on a structure by means of fracture surface observation. SOLUTION: Beach mark lines and the starting point of a crack are inputted to measure beach mark lengths including crack depths and crack lengths, the crack depths defined as the distances from the starting point to the respective mark lines and the crack lengths defined as lengths along peripheries corresponding to the respective mark lines. Striation widths corresponding to the mark lines are set to input material data including a relation between the crack developing speed of a material constituting the structure and a stress intensity factor range. These data are inputted into a prescribed fracture mechanics analysis model, thereby estimating fracture factors on the structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
