PURPOSE:To prevent an effect on a light-emitting element and a photodetector even when stress due to the expansion and contraction of a holder is generated by fixing only stem sections to a fixing member when the light-emitting element and the photodetector are fastened to the fixing member. CONSTITUTION:A light-emitting element 11 and a photodetector 12 are composed of stem sections 2 and lens sections 4. The light-emitting element 11 and the photodetector 12 are supported by a holder 1, and the light-emitting element 11 and the photodetector 12 are fixed to the holder 1 by adhesives 3. When the light-emitting element 11 and the photodetector 12 are fastened to the holder 1, adhesives of a kind, which has high hardness and by which the elements 11, 12 are not moved after curing, are used as adhesives 3, and only the stem sections 2 are coated with adhesives and adhesives are bonded. Accordingly, even when stress due to the expansion and contraction of the holder 1 is generated, effects on the light-emitting element and the photodetector can be prevented. |
