PURPOSE:To mount a flange without impacting the end of a glass tube by providing a couple of flanges having a supporting member which is inserted into a photosensitive body drum base material made of glass and then pressed on the inner-periphery reference plane of the base material on both ends of the base material. CONSTITUTION:An elastic supporting member 7 is inserted into a photosensitive body drum base material 1 and pressed on the inner-periphery reference plane of a glass tube 2, and a flange 4 is set at the end of the tube 2 by the member 7. Namely, when the member 7 for supporting the flange 4 is inserted into the tube 2, a disadvantageous stress is not exerted on the tube 2, and the inserted member 7 is pressed on the inner-periphery reference plane of the tube 2 with an appropriate pressure to fix the flange 4. Consequently, the flange 4 is mounted without impacting the end of the tube 2, and the tube 2 is not damaged or cracked. |
