摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the drivability due to the S fixation of rear wheels to the steering angle which is independent of the front wheel steering angle by installing a neutral position return control means for compulsorily returning the rear wheel to a neutral position, in the state where the front wheel steering angle can not be detected such as on the completion of the learning of the front wheel neutral position. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 11 for controlling the rear wheel steering of a vehicle receives the front wheel steering angle signal supplied from a front wheel steering angle sensor 12, rear wheel steering angle signal supplied from a potentiometer type rear wheel steering angle sensor 14, and the car speed signal, engine revolution speed signal, etc., which are detected by a various sorts of sensors. The aimed steering angle for rear wheels is calculated on the basis of a variety of input signals including the front wheel steering angle, and the polarity instruction signal of electric motor 13 which corresponds to the aimed steering angle is outputted into an FET bridge driving circuit 15, and the electric current instruction signal is outputted into a PWM control circuit 16. In this case, if the front wheel steering angle can not be detected, and the aimed steering angle for rear wheel can not be determined, control is performed so that rear wheels are compulsorily returned to a neutral position by the electric motor 13.</p>
