<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable writing instrument equipped with a clip safety mechanism, wherein protruding operation and retracting operation of a pen body are done by the same operation. <P>SOLUTION: The retractable writing instrument comprises a refill 20 stored in a casing 10, a rotator 30 moving forward and backward together with the refill, wherein an engaging part 35 and a longitudinal groove 34 are formed, a knocking member 50 for advancing the rotator in a state imparting the rotating force to the rotator by the knocking action, a moving member 60 longitudinally movably arranged along the window holes of the casing with a projected line 61 moving along the longitudinal groove of the rotator, and a clip having an engaging step part 42 engaged with the hooking projection 62 of the movable. The protrusion and retraction of the pen body are performed by the same pushing action or a double pushing-type, wherein, when the clip edge is lifted from the state where the pen body is protruded from the edge opening port, the moving member moves backward together with the rotator and the pen body is retracted into the casing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
