<p>An integral medical electrode for monitoring and diagnostic applications which includes a fusible conductive substrate (10) to which are fused the other components, such as the conductor (22), of the electrode. The fusible conductive substrate includes a non-conductive carrier (12) providing a support layer; a conductive additive (16); and a sealant (14) functioning as a fusible bonding medium to integrate the non-conductive carrier (12), the conductive additive (16), and the other components of the electrode.
