PURPOSE: A broadcasting receiver including a PIP function is provided to watch a plurality of broadcasting signals or a signal from a local video device through a single picture. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting receiver including a PIP function is composed of a tuner(500), a demodulator(502), a decoder(508), a D/A converter(512), a PIP circuit(516), a sub-picture audio transmitter(518) and a controller(520). A user selects a broadcasting signal of a desired channel from received broadcasting signals through the tuner. The demodulator demodulates the output signal of the tuner. The decoder decodes the output signal of the demodulator. The D/A converter converts the output signal of the decoder into an analog signal. The PIP circuit receives a video signal sent from a local video system and the signal output from the D/A converter and outputs a PIP video signal composed of a main picture and a sub-picture. The sub-picture audio transmitter modulates an audio signal of the sub-picture and transmits the modulated signal to at least one sub-picture audio receiver.
