PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor having stable thrust for a door in the case of using for a long period with low noise and small cogging at a stop or in motion. SOLUTION: A stator block A is disposed in a stator case 1 at least at two predetermined intervals of an armature block A1 having three armatures 2 as one unit, four or six units are suitably sequentially arranged in the order of exciting phases of exciting coils 2d of the armatures 2 of the respective units at a molding 3 at a predetermined interval, and the cogging operating at the yoke 2a of the armature 2 by a field permanent magnet 7 is canceled between the units.
