PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the magnetic powder from clogging in a separation device by recovering the magnetic powder when the quantity of magnetic powder is equal to or above the specified one on a 1st magnetic force generating means side. SOLUTION: Developer is stuck to a 1st magnetic force sleeve 15 by magnetic force, carried upward with the rotation of the sleeve 15, and regulated to specified layer thickness by a doctor blade 21. Then, the developer fed to a separation part opposed to a 2nd magnetic force sleeve 16 is attracted by the magnetic force of the sleeve 16 stronger than that of the sleeve 15. The developer smoothly passes through the filter 13 and is stuck to the sleeve 16. When the filter 13 is clogged, the developer supplied by the sleeve 15 can not smoothly pass through the filter 13 and is retained in a developer supply part 32. When the quantity of the retained developer is equal to or above the fixed one, a cover member 30 is moved by the pressure of the developer and an aperture part 28 is opened, then the developer is recovered in a recovery container 23. |
