The headlamp or signal lamp shell has a clip fixing (2) which is pushed through a slot (30) formed in the body work of the vehicle. The clip has flexible sides, converging toward a point, which bend inward as the clip is pushed through the slot, then spring outward so the flexible sides rest over the edges of the slot. The clip is at the outer end of a wall or post which extends outward from the shell of the lamp. The wall or post and the clip are moulded integrally with the lamp shell. There will be at least two clips for each lamp.
