RAPID DETECTION OF ISONIAZID RESISTANCE IN MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly identify an isoniazid (INH) resistant strain.

SOLUTION: The method selects a nucleotide sequence of a catalase - peroxidase gene of a Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and then decides the formation of a hybrid. The INH-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain is detected by a nucleic acid hybridization or an amplification method with a unique nucleic acid sequence.
