<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for ink jet showing high chromaticness and light resistance and to provide its preparing and using method. <P>SOLUTION: According to one aspect of the present invention, the ink composition contains a mixture of an effective amount of a rhodamine dyestuff and an effective amount of a metal-containing magenta dyestuff.
