PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PCB removal method for safely and efficiently removing PCB from a container contaminated with PCB.SOLUTION: A PCB removal method for removing PCB from a container 1 is mainly constituted by: a solvent cleaning step where a solvent capable of dissolving PCB is supplied to the bottom 11 of the container 1 and the PCB is dissolved and discharged; and an aqueous solution cleaning step where an aqueous solution added with a surfactant is jetted to the inner surface of the container 1 after the solvent cleaning step and the PCB is discharged. In the solvent cleaning step, PCB oil is discharged before supplying the solvent when the PCB oil is accumulated on the bottom 11 of the container 1 and the solvent is supplied until a height reaches the height of the PCB accumulated on the bottom 11 of the container 1 or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
