PURPOSE:To continuously and easily measure hydrogen of a high concn. by supplying a gas to be inspected to a fuel battery, measuring the change in electromotive force by the electrochemical reaction of the hydrogen in the gas to be inspected and determining the concn. of the gaseous hydrogen in accordance with the result of the measurement. CONSTITUTION:The gas to be inspected is supplied to the fuel battery 5. An electrochemical oxidation reaction arises in the hydrogen in the gas to be inspected and a change arises in the electromotive force of the fuel battery 5. The change in the electromotive force is measured by an electromotive force conversion part 6 and is converted to the hydrogen concn. in accordance with the result of the measurement. The converted concn. is displayed on a display part 7. The hydrogen concn. in a piping by a hydrogen supply network is easily and continuously checked by constituting the instrument in such a manner. |
