<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor which is capable of generating large rotating torque. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic motor includes a driving unit 20 composed of first and second straight forward units 30A, 30B combined in an orthogonal direction having a prism atic piezoelectric element as a thrust source, a control means for combining motions of the first and second straight forward moving units and causing eccentric motion to occur in the driving unit, and transmission mechanisms 31, 34 for converting the eccentric motion to rotational motion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
