<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core from which, a work can be easily pulled out after crimping. <P>SOLUTION: A rod having ellipsoidal cross section similar to and smaller than that of inner periphery of a shield shell is divided into four pieces of split members 1 along a surface including a long axis and a short axis of the ellipsoid, and housed in a common frame 11, and the split members are energized toward a center of split by a spring S arranged inside the frame 11. A wedge plate 21 driving mechanism is arranged to the backside of the frame 11, and outer shape of the core main body 10 composed of four split members 1 is made expandable by the operation of the wedge plate 21. After covering the inner periphery of the core main body 10 of which, outer shape is contracted, by the inner periphery of the shield shell of the work, the peripheral surface of the caulking ring of the work is caulked by expanding the outer shape of the core main body. After caulking, as a large clearance is formed between the peripheral surface of the core main body 10 and the inner surface of the shield shell by contracting the outer shape of the core main body 10, the part of shield shell can be pulled out from the core main body 10 without difficulty. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
