PURPOSE:To enlarge a degree of freedom from a view point of operation since in the title method neither a hot press nor an autoclave is used and it is simple and has little energy consumption, by a method wherein since a thermal expan sion member is interposed, the same is expanded by heating and presses prepreg. CONSTITUTION:The whole, which is comprised by arranging a molding material 1 between a top force 2 and bottom force 3 and interposing a thermal expansion member 4 between at least one side out of the top force 2 and bottom force 3 and the molding material 1, is clamped integrally. In other words, mutual distances among the top force 2, thermal expansion member 4, molding material 1 and bottom force 3 are constituted so that they are not separated from one another. After the clamping, a setup is led to a heating zone while holding a clamped state and prepreg and the thermal expansion member 4 are heated at a temperature of at least the plasticizing temperature of thermoplastic resin of the prepreg of the molding material 1. With this construction, the thermoplastic resin is either melted or softened, pressing force by thermal expansion of the thermal expansion member 4 is generated and after compression molding, the prepreg and thermal expansion member 4 are cooled. |
