The fastener (3) has a connection around the windscreen (1) for fastening to the hood (2). It has an intermediate section (7) of a material which shrinks due to the effect of heat. This section is formed by a strip around the windscreen. The connection consists of a profiled length (5) of plastics around the edge of the glass. A second similar length (6) is fastened to the hood. The shrink section is located between the two.
