The emergency lubrication system, for rotary pumps, has a spray jet (10) at the suction side, which delivers a stream (7) at the bearing shell (5) of the paddle wheel (3), so that the bearing lubrication remains constant even when there are air bubbles. The spray jet (10) is linked to the pressure side (12) of the pump. The paddle wheel bearing is a ball (4) and spherical bearing shell (5).
