PURPOSE: To provide a memory cartridge system starting programs varying at placement and non-placement of a cartridge. CONSTITUTION: In the cartridge system, a display program of warning messages is stored into a main body ROM embedded in a main body 12, a karaoke program is stored into a memory cartridge 48 which is detachable to the main body 12. When the cartridge 48 is not placed, the display program is performed mapping in an address space in a first manner, so that the display program is started. In other hand, when the cartridge 48 is placed, the display program and the karaoke program are performed mapping in the space in a second manner, so that the karaoke program is started. |
