PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely operate a discharge lamp such as a fluorescent lamp by employing a DC lighting method in place of an AC lighting method. SOLUTION: This fluorescent lamp lighting circuit is provided with a series circuit of a fluorescent lamp constant current control circuit 22 having a negative resistance characteristic and a starting reactor 23 between a DC power supply and an output terminal to a fluorescent lamp load 24, and a starting setter 25 to the fluorescent lamp load 24. If the DC resistance component of the starting reactor 23 matches with the operating current of the fluorescent lamp load 24, the fluorescent lamp constant current control circuit 22 is not required to be provided. |
