PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a manufacturing process and reduce weight and setting a thickness of a rectangular flat portion of a glass molding product in a specific range. SOLUTION: A front plate (glass molding product) 10 for a display comprises a rectangular flat portion 11, ribs of side wall portions 12 folded and connected in the recess shape, and flange portions 13 folded outside from here. For setting a diagonal length of an image display surface to a practical size as long as 6 inches, the thickness of the flat portion 11 is preferably more than 2 mm in order to secure pressure resistant strength of the image display surface, and less than 4 mm in order to reduce the weight of a device. In other words, the thickness of the flat portion 11 is 2-4 mm. In addition, the height of the ribs 12 is set to a display-intrinsic required value, namely 1-5 mm, to prevent decrease of spacer strength used during construction of a display. The length of the flange portions 13 is set to be sealing-ability maintainable, 1-20 mm, when it is joined to a rear plate via a flit glass or a laser.
