The present invention is about a pressure-adjustment means for ink-jet cartridges. An element, which is an elastic air-bag (23), is employed inside the ink-jet cartridge. The air inside the elastic air-bag (23) is in ventilation with the air external to the ink-jet cartridge. When the pressure difference between the air pressure inside the air-bag and the back pressure of the ink-cartridge undergoes changes, this elastic air-bag (23) may then automatically adjust its own volume by expansion or contraction by virtue of its elastic structure, and in turn modify the ink volume inside the cartride, so that the ink contained inside the ink-jet cartridge is prevented from leaking while permitting the printhead to be able to continue releasing ink droplets outwards in spurts. <IMAGE>
