The natural gas transfer feed roe a marine vessel and barge has a transfer pipe (3) with one end connected to a pipework (7) on the barge and the other connected to a manifold (8) on the ship. The transfer pipe is suspended at least at its ends to a support mast on the barge (4). One end of the pipe is movable between a retracted position under the mast and an extended position for connection to the ship manifold.
