PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To re-notify a user about that an electronic mail has arrived by taking advantage of the stopping of the walk of the walking user of a terminal device. SOLUTION: An incoming mail receiving section 11 of the terminal device 1 accepts the arrival of an incoming electronic mail to the terminal device 1. When the arrival of the electronic mail is accepted, a mail arrival notifying section 18 notifies the user of the terminal device 1 about the arrival of the electronic mail. A vibration number measuring section 15 measures the number of vibrations to be given to the terminal device 1. A determining section 17 determines whether the user has shifted from the walking state to the walking stop state on the basis of the measured number of vibrations. The mail arrival notifying section 18 re-notifies the user about the arrival of the electronic mail when it is determined that the user has shifted from the walking state to the walking stop state.
