PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out covering testing even for software having only binary data at hand without needing a device such as a debugger and without being provided with any source code.SOLUTION: A cover testing device 1 stores testing software configured by converting the command code of testing target software into a dummy code which causes a program error in a storage part 12 in advance. A testing part 13 returns the dummy code which has caused the program error to the command code based on the program error generated in the dummy code, and causes an arithmetic operation part 11 to execute the returned command code. The arithmetic operation part executes the testing software to calculate the ratio of the number of dummy codes returned to original command codes to the number of dummy codes as a covering rate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
