PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery system and a discharge control method which suppress the reverse power amount for sudden decrease of the load power, without normally relying upon the power purchase.SOLUTION: In a storage battery system including a storage battery, a power converter connected with the storage battery and controlling the charge and discharge power of the storage battery, and a load connected with a cable way connecting a system power supply and the power converter, when the load power decreases from a state where a predetermined discharge power is supplied for the load by discharge of the storage battery, the power converter performs discharge control for once reducing the discharge power to a level lower than a target power, that must be supplied from the storage battery to the load after decrease, thereafter matching the discharge power to the target power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
