In an aspect, an apparatus for communication may include a processing system configured to receive a frame configured to assign at least member information or position information for one or more identifiers, and receive a data packet associated with a particular identifier and indicating a number of space-time streams for one or more position information. In another aspect, an apparatus for communication may include a processing system configured to transmit a frame configured to assign at least member information or position information for one or more identifiers, and transmit a data packet associated with a particular identifier and indicating a number of space-time streams for one or more position information.

1. An apparatus for communication, the apparatus comprising:
a transceiver; and a processing system comprising a memory and a processor, wherein the processing system is configured to:
receive a data packet comprising a plurality of space-time streams and a plurality of fields each indicating a number of space-time streams associated with a position information;determine a position information assigned to the apparatus;determine how many of the plurality of space-time streams in the data packet are destined to the apparatus based on a field indicating a number of space-time streams associated with the position information assigned to the apparatus;when the position information assigned to the apparatus does not have a lowest possible value, determine that the field indicating the number of space-time streams associated with the position information assigned to the apparatus is preceded by one or more other fields indicating a number of space-time streams associated with position information different from the position information assigned to the apparatus;consider a value of each of the one or more other fields that precede the field indicating the number of space-time streams associated with the position information assigned to the apparatus to determine which of the plurality of space-time streams in the data packet are destined to the apparatus; andprocess one or more space-time streams destined to the apparatus.
