The invention relates to a device for carrying out cutting operations on at least one open formatting edge of at least one printed product. The device is operatively connected to a printed product-related advancing device for the first cutting operation and to a printed product-related transporting device which is operative after the last cutting operation. Each edge-related cutting operation can be carried out by at least one cutting device. The printed product (A) can be transported from a first cutting location (1), in which the cutting operation for a first formatting edge of the printed product is carried out, to a second location (2), in which the cutting operation for a second formatting edge is carried out. The printed product can be transported to a third cutting location (3), in which the cutting operation for a third formatting edge is carried out, after the cutting operation at the second cutting location has been carried out. The printed product can be transported from one cutting location to the next by at least one transport unit (101, 102,....) which has at least one means that grips the rear face of the printed product and transports the printed product from one cutting location to the next in a suspended manner. |
