PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image-panning circuit by which an image is in panning (movement) at an arbitrary speed and the panning (movement) direction is automatically selected in units of frames. SOLUTION: A circuit is provided with a memory 34 for a video input signal, a panning speed setting section 44 for moving an image at an arbitrary speed, a frame number counter 45, a deflection width setting section 39 that sets a deflection width of an image, a comparator 47 that compares a count value of the frame number counter 45 with a setting value of the deflection width setting section 39 and providing an output of a panning direction switching signal when they match, a panning direction setting section 48 that moves the image in an arbitrary direction and selects a moving direction of the image with the panning direction switching signal and a memory control section 40 that controls read of image data from the memory 34 with a setting signal from the panning speed setting section 44 and the panning direction setting section 48. The image is moved in an arbitrarily set panning direction at an arbitrarily set panning speed, and the panning direction is switched by a set amplitude (in units of frames). |
