<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of preventing print on a print sheet having a nonwhite print surface by judging the print surface of the print sheet. <P>SOLUTION: At first, print data is received (S11) and processing of the print data is started (S12). A print sheet is then taken in from a sheet feed tray (S13). When taking-in of the print sheet is started, a CCD begins to scan the print surface of the print sheet (S14). A decision is then made whether the print surface of the print sheet is white or not based on the scan data (S15), and if the print surface of the print sheet is white (S15; Y), normal printing is performed on that print sheet (S16). The printed sheet is discharged to an ordinary sheet discharge tray (S17) before ending the processing. If the print surface of the print sheet is nonwhite (S15; N), that print sheet is discharged to a nonwhite sheet discharge tray (S18). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
