PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broach guide jig for machining a key groove capable of preventing deviation when forming the key groove. SOLUTION: This broach guide jig 1 for machining the key groove forms the key groove extending in the length direction of a work W in the internal circumferential face of a cylindrical hole W1 of the work W. The outer circumferential face of the broach guide jig 1 is formed with a broad guide groove 2 extending in its length direction and two contact parts 6 and 7 similarly extending in the length direction and contacting with the internal circumferential face of the cylindrical hole W1 when forming the key groove, at equal-angle intervals in the circumference direction. A positioning key insertion groove 3 extending in the length direction is formed in a position separated by 180 deg. from the broach guide groove 2 in the circumferential direction in the outer circumferential face of the broach guide jig 1.
