Disclosed is an apparatus for connecting optical fibers. The apparatus comprises a body(1), clamp fixing plates(3, 5) and clamping band rings(2, 4). In the body(1), a connecting slot(13) is formed to collect the optical fibers. The clamp fixing plates(3, 5) movably installed in the connecting slot(13) to directly clamp the optical fibers. The clamping band rings(2, 4) are rotatively installed on the body(1) to vertically press the clamp fixing plates(3, 5). Thereby, the optical fibers are firmly connected in well arranged state according to the vertical clamping force.
