A folding display system, for example for advertising and exhibition purposes, comprising elongate means (1), such as rods or tubes, and node pieces (2) as well as long, narrow pieces (3). The node piece (2) comprises two portions, a first portion, comprising a rear face (42) for attaching the elongate means (1) and a second portion, comprising a front face (41), for attaching the long, narrow pieces (3) and accessories and for connecting to additional parts. The first portion comprises four symmetrically arranged recesses (5), offset 90 degrees from each other in the same plane, for receiving the means (1). The walls (52) of the recesses (5) have recesses (48) orientated relative to each other for receiving a pivot pin (6). The ends of the means (1) comprise transverse holes through which the pivot pins (6) are inserted and arranged between the opposite walls (52). The walls (52) provide lateral support for the elongate means (1). The second portion comprises recesses (18, 11) along the edge faces (43) of the node piece (2) and recesses (25, 40, 46) on the front face (41) of the node piece (2). |
