<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of readily correcting a position shift in recording due to inclination of a recording head in the image forming apparatus that records an image by using the recording head wherein a plurality of recording elements are arranged in a line in a main scanning direction and divided into recording blocks each being driven at the same time. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises a record timing signal generating section wherein a difference between an image position inputted from an image position input section and an image position as a reference is obtained, a correction value for the recording blocks is calculated, an element correction value for the elements in each recording block is calculated, a driving signal transmission timing for each recording block is calculated based on the correction value and the recording elements are driven by changing the driving signal transmission timing by each recording element in each recording block based on the element correction value.</p> |
