PURPOSE: A method for controlling an electric boiler is provided to stably and properly utilize electricity at midnight and to reduce the malfunction of the electric boiler when it is ignited in an early stage by evenly consuming the midnight electricity. CONSTITUTION: The present time counted in a control device is checked whether the present time is a midnight electricity time. If the present time is not the midnight electricity time, the power supplied to electric heaters is shut off to finish the heat accumulating step. Then, a next heat accumulating step is prepared by returning to an initial step. If the present time is the midnight electricity time, the power is selectively supplied to the electric heater based on the temperature of heating water detected from a temperature detecting sensor. If the present time is the midnight electricity time, the predetermined temperature for accumulating heat is gradually raised corresponding to the predetermined time so as to uniformly consume the midnight electricity over the whole midnight electricity time.
