摘要 A cooling system in a thin-type projector and a control method thereof are provided to form an optimum air stream by placing cooling fans to be suitable for structural characteristics of the thin-type projector, thereby improving cooling performance. A cooling system in a thin-type projector comprises the followings: heat generating sources(1); at least one first and second suction ports each formed in a side surface and a lower surface of a housing; at least one discharge port; the first air stream forming unit(2) which forms the first air stream so that air induced from the first suction port can be discharged to the discharge port, and cools the heat generating sources; a second air stream forming unit(3) which forms the second air stream so that air induced from the second suction port can be discharged to the discharge port, and cools the heat generating sources; a sensor unit(4,5) for measuring a temperature of the air induced from the first and second suction ports and a temperature of the air discharged from the discharge port; and a controller(6) for controlling the first and second air stream forming units(2,3) according to the air temperatures measured by the sensor unit(4,5).
