PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier roller, a carrier roller unit and a carriage load measurement method, capable of measuring a carriage load of a conveyor belt without accompanying complication of a structure or size increase.SOLUTION: A carrier roller 10 supporting a conveyor belt includes: an outer cylinder part 11; a shaft part 12 with one end part and the other end part unrotatably mounted onto a carrier stand; a pair of bearing parts 13 configured to rotate the outer cylinder part 11 without rotating the shaft part 12 according to a travel of the conveyor belt; and first strain detecting means 18a configured to detect a strain on the shaft part 12 in a thickness direction of the conveyor belt, and bonded in a central region of the shaft part 12 positioned between the pair of bearing parts 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
