<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which running cost or initial cost concerning freeze-preventing operation is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: This system comprises a reformer 1 to reform a raw material into a reformed gas containing hydrogen, a raw material supply means 2 to supply the raw material to the reformer 1, a heating means 3 to heat the reformer 1 for reforming, a fuel cell 4 to generate electricity by making the reformed gas supplied from the reformer 1 react with an oxidizer gas, and a temperature detecting means 18 to detect the temperature at a specified part, and as a first freeze-preventing operation mode, when the temperature detecting means 18 detects the temperature of a threshold value or less, the raw material heated by the heating means 3 in the reformer 1 is fed to distribution channels 5, 4, 8, 3 of the reformed gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
