<p>Push-rod takes the form of a hollow tube strengthened by four external ribs. An e.g. butyl rubber, plug is fixed in one of the housings which form the inner wall of the tube and serves to protect the end of thh needle which comes packed inside the push rod. The wall of the latter is widened at its lower end to receive the thumb of the operator. The other end of the push-rod is screwed for connection to the rubber piston which slides inside the body of the syringe, when the latter is assembled for use. In the package the push-rod acts as a cover for the needle; it protects it form any deterioration and prevents any leakage of the injection prod. during storage.</p> |
