PURPOSE:To prevent useless consumption of a cleaning web and, at the same time, realize the most suitable cleaning effect and oil coating, by controlling the feeding speed of the cleaning web in accordance with the record signal of an image. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning web is a heat resisting sheet-like member made of a nonwoven fabric etc., and wound around a shaft 19 after the web is impregnated with an appropriate amount of a mold release agent. The web 4 is pressed against pressure rolls 5 and 6 in the course of winding up by a winding shaft 11. A web driving motor 13 continuously or intermittently rotates at speeds controlled by a motor control signal. A value corresponding to an image signal is stored in a memory and the number of revolution of the web driving motor 13 is controlled in accordance with the value stored in the memory in such a way that, when, for example, the value stored in the memory is more than 200, the web feeding speed is controlled to 6mm./min., when the value is 100-200, the speed is controlled to 5mm./min., when the value is 50-100, the speed is controlled to 4mm./min., and, when the value is less than 50, the speed is controlled to 3mm./min. |
