摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diminish a jitter and to accurately perform recording or reproducing by possessing an edge shift means for lengthening a pluse width of an information signal showing information supplied to the information recording and reproducing device at the time of recording the information by a prescribed length. SOLUTION: An edge shift circuit 16 of a signal processing means is provided in a part where a sum of detected value obtained by areas D1 and D2 of a bisected photodiode 10 respectively is figured out and sent as an RF signal. Then, the edge shift circuit 16 is composed of a delay element and an OR circuit, and the detecting signals D1 and D2 are outputted by overlapping one delayed signal and the other nondelayed signal with each other. This output is equivalent to such a matter that the rear end of a pit formed on a disk is lengthened by a prescribed length (0.1 to 0.15μm) corresponding to a prescribed time, becoming approximately the actual pit length. Consequently, when reproduction is performed with a usual regenerative signal of the sum signal, the jitter is suppressed to a min., and the accurate reproduction is carried out.
