PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent other radio wave from being intercepted resulting from that interruption of radio communication from a master set is not surely detected by a slave set of a cordless telephone set. SOLUTION: A master set 1 and a slave set 2 are communicated by way of a radio wave 4. An extension speech is conducted between a handset 13 of the master set 1 and an ear piece 23 and a microphone 31 of the slave set 2. When the handset 13 is hooked on and the master set 1 is going to terminate the extension speech; it is detected by a handset hook on/off detector 17, and a controller 11 instructs transmission of an extension speech end signal to n RF unit 15. When an RF unit 25 receives the extension speech end signal via an antenna 24, a controller 21 validates a reception mute circuit 22 and a transmission mute circuit 39 to suppress a received voice signal. The radio communication state via the RF unit 25 is maintained as it is.
