PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve information that a group desires to have, from a large number of programs by determining the priority of information for the group consisting of plural users according to basic choice preferences characteristic of the users. SOLUTION: Character data for individual IDs of specific users allocated to a group with group seal data are stored in a user model storage and utilization part 14 together with the group seal data. On a monitor screen, characters and figures representing a maximum mode, a simple mean mode, and a minimum mode are displayed so that a desired mode can be selected and specified. A group user model formation part 53 generates a priority table of genres of group users with the selected mode and sends it out to an information file part 19, and then EPG data are rearranged according to the genre priority data to display a program guide on the display screen of the monitor device 4.
