The control is fitted to the top of the tank to be filled, and has a rod (13) extending from its base, to be inserted in the top opening (3) of the vessel (2) to be filled. The rod is coupled to a level detector (12) which is part of the control. When the level detector is activated the control sends a signal (9) to a receiver (6) which stops the drive motor of the filler pump (5).
