PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized solenoid valve of a simple structure which can manually discharge and stop water with small operation force, and prevent fail to stop water. SOLUTION: This solenoid valve has a valve seat 5 arranged between a primary side flow passage 3 and a secondary side flow passage 4 of a valve body 1, a diaphragm valve body 2 detachably seated at the valve seat 5, a pressure chamber 6 formed on a back side of the diaphragm valve body 2, a polot hole 7 formed on the diaphragm valve body 2, and a plunger 9 operated by current carrying to an electromagnetic coil 8. A manually operated button 15 is pushed into the side of the valve main body 1, and the plunger 9 is pushed up against a spring 11 by means a rod 17 inserted into the pilot hole 7. The pressure chamber 6 is communicated with a secondary side flow passage 4 through a pilot hole 7, for detaching the diaphragm valve body 2 from the valve seat 5 and thereby discharging water.
