PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tube for heat exchanger provided with strength sufficient for withstanding the pressure of CO2 refrigerant while enhancing heat exchanging performance. SOLUTION: The tube 1 for heat exchanger is produced by providing a flat tube body 2 having width longer than the height with a plurality of heat carrier channels 3 extending in the longitudinal direction of the tube while being arrange in parallel in the widthwise direction thereof. The heat carrier channel 3 has rectangular cross-section elongated in the thickness direction of the tube and arcuate joints (corner part 3C) are formed at the long side parts 3L on the opposite sides of the short side part 3S of the heat carrier channel 3.
