PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the solution culture of tomato capable of harvesting tomato fruits having high sugar content in high yield by diluting deep seawater with water and using as a culture solution having a definite composition. SOLUTION: Tomato is cultured by applying a diluted seawater having a nitrate-nitrogen content of≥0.27 mg/L, a silicic acid content of≥3.2 mg/L, a coliform count of <1.8 MPN/100 mL and a general bacteria count of <1/mL.
