PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify works accompanying the replacement of a mask plate while having various models of substrates as objects, and secure a positioning accuracy. SOLUTION: The screen printer prints a paste on a substrate by bringing the substrate into contact with the mask plate and executing squeezing operation. In the screen printer, when positioning in Y direction is performed by making a mask holder 23 which is arranged in Y direction hold the mask plate, a positioning mark for adjusting the holder frame of the mask plate to a camera head unit 17 which is freely movable in Y direction by a head Y axis moving mechanism 20 is provided. Under a state in which the camera head unit 17 has been moved to a mask end section position which is calculated in advance, the end surface of the mask frame is visually positioned at the positioning mark, and the mask plate is fixed to the mask holder 23.
