PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst-containing powder mixture the alcohol aqueous solution of which is irradiated with visible light so that nontoxic hydrogen can be generated stably in high productivity, at a low cost in high quantities and with ease.SOLUTION: The photocatalyst-containing powder mixture 13 contains: photocatalyst SrSnTiOpowder 21; SrCOpowder 22; and SnClpowder 23 (on condition that X is 0.10-0.20) and is obtained by mixing one mole of the photocatalyst SrSnTiOpowder, 0.40-0.45 moles of the SrCOpowder and 0.05-0.1 moles of the SnClpowder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
